Commissioner Gentry was elected in November 2017 to fill Position #5, which had been previously filled by appointment due to a resignation.
As the son of a career firefighter and a current civilian employee of a neighboring fire service organization, his life and career have been shaped by the fire service. He is deeply committed to supporting the men and women who dedicate their lives to this profession.
As Fire Commissioner, his priorities include ensuring the safety of personnel through proper equipment and training, maintaining reliable apparatus (fire engines), and fostering fiscal responsibility and modernization. He is dedicated to securing a sustainable budget that supports these essential needs for the district.
