[ARCHIVED] Burn Ban Lifted

NW01_100hr

The King County Fire Marshal has lifted their Burn Ban.  The District after reviewing fire danger data, is opening Yard Waste Vegetation Burning, lifting the Burn Ban that has been in place since July.

You must have a current Burn Permit, issued by the Fire Department in order to burn Yard Waste Vegetation.

Please call Mountain View’s burn ban hotline 253 735 0286, or visit www.mvfire.org prior to burning to ensure that there is no burn ban in place.

Should you have any questions call 253 735 0284 or visit http://www.kcfd44.org/172/Burn-Permit to check on burn ban information.

Burn Bans may be issued by the Mountain View or King County Fire Marshal related to Fire Danger, or Puget Sound Clean Air, related to Air Quality issues.

Please be safe and your yard vegetation fire must be attended at all times. Fully extinguish your fire when complete, stir the ashes and use plenty of water. Check your burn area often to ensure that there are no embers or open flames.
