Congratulations Captain Jewett


Congratulations to Captain Jewett for receiving a Mountain View Fire & Rescue Challenge Coin during the June 25th Board of Fire Commissioners meeting, presented by Chairman James Farrell!

Challenge Coins are awarded to personnel who are nominated by a fellow department member & after review by a committee. Upon receiving a Challenge Coin, Captain Jewett’s name has been added to a perpetual plaque, located at the department's headquarters, Station 95.

Captain Jewett’s ongoing commitment to the department & the citizens it serves over many years, has been instrumental in shaping the department & we are honored to have him as a member. Captain Jewett’s career began with the department as a Volunteer Firefighter in 1979 & he became one of the 1st Career Firefighters hired by the department in 1988. In 1998, Captain Jewett became one of the first career Lieutenants & was promoted to Captain in 2004.
